A Few Fish Tales for Now:
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope everyone enjoys following the 182.5 fishing challenge over the next year. Everyone is welcome to compete in their own 1 person challenge, just pick a start date and add 365. You don’t have to start on January 1st.
If you came here looking for fishing advice? My #1 tip would be to never listen to anything I say while fishing. This is not a fishing advice site, in fact you may catch less by doing anything I do. With that being said all of the fishing trip reports will be as accurate and hopefully informative as possible. It’s only my exact location that I’ll be “fisherman’s honest” with.
I primarily fish on Lake Lanier for striped bass although will occasionally go fishing for smaller sunfish liked large mouth or spotted bass.
For all you gear heads out there I’ll be adding all my rods, reels and tackle soon. Stay tuned and tight lines.
If you have any suggestions, tips or other fishing lies drop me a line at hello@fishermansfive.com

So How Does The Challenge Work?
Currently the fishing log is being managed by Google Forms to capture the date, time, location, depth etc. This is only a temporary solution until I’ve decided the best way to catalog trips and catches. Each fishing trip post will be manually created. So all the stats will be accurate, the posts a bit more like creative writing. Again this is not a learning how to fish site. The only thing I promise to teach is how to creatively lie about your exact location in such a way real fisherman can figure out you’re lying and get on the right spot. This is just one guy with a bunch rods, trying to get better at fishing and writing one line at a time. If you’d like to support my quest, you can help me out by checking out my wholesome content on my onlyFishing.
